Police Are Investigating

Ishpeming, Mich., Oct. 17.- Tho body of Adolph Laffienicr's littlo girl, who disappeared so mysteriously on the evening of June 4, has been found in tho garrott of Mrs. C. L. Wendel's rosidenoe in this city. The mother of the child, who is intimately aequainted with Mrs. Wende!, had occasion to go into the garrett Sunday evening in search of carpet rags. While looking through the place she found the child's shoes and cap. She reportod hor discovery to the officers and the search reroalod the body, somewhat decoiiiposod. The body was found in a sniall Jiolo in which it seenied impossible for the child to get without assistance. The pólice are investigating.
