That Battleship Illinois

Washington, Oct. 24.- Actlng Secretary McAdoo of the navy has addrcssed a letter to Goveruor Altgeld of Illinois asking the point blank question as to whother the state has sold the brick ship Illinois, donated for the use of the naval militia. This probably is precedent to a representation of the demands of the navy department for a return of the ship and its equipinents.
