Washington, Oct. 31.- The United States supreme court, upon a motion made in behalf of the rallroad companies, decidcd to consolídate three casos instituted by the city of Chicago versus the Chicago, Burlington and Quinoy and the Chicago and Northwestern liailway companies for the purpose of extending streets across their tracks and rights of way of the railroad companies. The cases were appcaled by the railroad companies from the Illinois supreine court.
