St. Louis, Oct. 31.- The two Kirkwood acconunodation trains over the Missouri Pacific railroad colltded at King's Highway and Manchester, jusfc Inslde the city limits. Both engineera wcre killed and their bodies horribly mangled. The flremen, too, were buried in the wreek and fatally crushed. The dead are: William Catrin of St. Louis, enginecr of the eastbound train; John Harper of Webster Grove, engineer of the west-bound train. Tho fatally injured are: George Dunbar of Webster Grove, fireman of the westbound train; George True of St. Louis, firemau of the cast-bound train. Bucfc Taylor Among tho Injured. A number of passeugers were more or less shocked. Buck Taylor, the wild west showman, a passenger on the eaet-bound train, had his right leg brokea The two trains were used for suburban traffle. The east-bound liad but few passengers, while the west-bound carried t heater patrons going home to the suburbs. Tho two trains should have met four miles further west, but Engineer Catron of tho east-bound train tried to reach the Howard switch in time to moet the other train. Both trains were running slowly or a dreadful calamity would have occurred.
