It is only a question of a day or two now before the city will have the new Hay & Todd Manufacturing Co., of Ypsilanti. Th ere is only a small arnount, between $100 and $200, to be raised of the $3,000 subsoriptions. J. B. Colvan, president of the Hay & Todd Manufacturing Co. , was in oousultation with the city eoliciting oommittee last evening, and while de expressed himself as not willing to make a move until the whole arnount had been raised, it was evident that as soou as the few dollars needed was gotten together that the concern would be ready to come. The Hay & Todd Manufacturing Co. bas been a representative manufactnring instituiton of Ypsilanti for a dozen years and moves here on account of a lack of girl workers iu the neighboring town. They guarantee the city to employ 100 hands aud use 50 machines. The locatiou will be in the Pinnegan blook. Only about $100 now stands in the way of the factory for Ann Arbor. Some public spirited man should subscr'be the whole amonnt. The oommittee will canvass for subscriptions for the remainiug arnonnt today.
