Thanksgiving Proclamation

Governor fíich has issued the following proclarnation : Thnrsday, November 28, is hereby appointed as a day of general thanksgiviug. The people of this state are requested on this day to abstain from the ordinry avooations of life and devote the day to exeroises of recreation appropriate to the occasion. It is a good time to forgive offences, to gather the family together, to forget or suspend differences of opinión in relation to politics, religión and belief, to reinember the needy, to do kind deeds, and to return thanks for blessings enjoyed. Given under rny hand and the great seal of the state, at the capital in Lan sing, this seventh day of November, in ;he year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five, and of the Independence of the United States, the one huudred and nineteenth.
