Mrs.Win.Whaley, jr., is still seriously ilL Oscar Guy and wife, from the ridge, visited Milan friends Tnesday. Mrs. Homer Sill will have au Epworth League entertainment at her residonce Wednesday eveniug. Chas. Wooloott and wife and son, of Ann Arbor, are visiting relatives here. Dr. and Mrs.Chapin are entertaining a sister from Scio. The PresbyteriaD sewing cirole met afc Mrs. Brooks' Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Egner bas retnmed from Detroit. Miss White has returned from Adrián. Mrn. JMell Barnes and son, of Tecumseh, are visiting frieuds here. The prirnary department will give Thanksgiving exercises the 27th and the school will be closed for a week's vacation. Mr. and Mrs. T. Barnes are entertaining guests from abroad. G. R. Williams and wife were the guests of Prof. and Mrs. C. M. Pulier at Mooreville Sunday. Mrs. Wisdom and Mrs. Hiaokley drove to Monroe Monday. Mrs. Laraway and Mrs. Leiand, of Northfield, were the guests of Rev. aud Mrs. H. F. Snier Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Elana Gauntletfc are at home to tbeir friends on Connty street. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Guy and sou have returned after along abseences. Hon. Washington Gardner, secretary of state, delüvered a fina address before the Milan high school lecture association at Gay's opera house Friday evening. Notwithstanding the inclerneat weather the andience was quite larga. llrs. Chas Sill is on the sick list. Mrs. Wm. Btoward is qnite ill. Dan Murray and wife are ining relativos.
