The net proceeds from Washington ftardner's lecture were $71.07, encouraging to the menabers of the M. H. S. L. G. The next lecture in the eourse will be by Mr. Ferris, of Grand Rapids, December 6tL. Mrs. S. Egner moved to Detroit this week, Mrs. O. A. Kelly is visiting friends in Toledo, O. Miss C. Chapín has returned to her home in Scio. Chas. Schmitt is erectinga line brick building on ftiver street. The K. of P. will doubtless hold their meetings in the I. O. O. F. temple tor the present. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leonard have returned from their Williamston sojouru. Mr. and Mrs. F. Guy, entertained juests from out of town the first of he week. Mrs. Dyke entertained guests from Oakville the ürst of the week. Mrs. M. Barrows and son have reurned to Tecumseh. Thanksgiving services will be held ;he 28th at the Union church, all denominations uniting and Rev. H. F. Shier delivering the Thanksgiving sermón. Mr. and Mrs. H. Sill and children are visiting friends in Detroit this week. Frank Jones was in town this week, on business. Mis. J. Dextcr and Mrs. Willie Whaley are quite ill. The Standard dictionary man found some new-coined words outside of the dictiooary, d uring his sojourn in Milan.
