Mr. Spurgeon As A Smoker

The Eev. W. Williams, in bis "Personal Reminiscences of C. H. Spurgeon, " tells au anccdote conceruing the great preacher as a smoker. Some gentleman wrote to Mr. Spurgeon, saying "he had heard he sruoked and could not believe it true. Would Mr. Spurgeon write and teil him if it really was so?'1 The reply sent was as follows: "Dear , I cnltivate my flowers and burn my weeds. Yours truly, C. H. geon. "-
