One On The Lawyer

One of the leading young lawyers of Washingtou went away frorn home reoently in a hurry and forgot to give all instructions to his clerk. He had an office in oue of the large buildings of the city, where a lack postoffice box is snpplied for mail. The lawyer particnlarly wanted some letters forwarded to him that hewas expecting, and so instructed his clerk in a letter. He addressed it in hia own care so as to insure delivery at his office early. He inclosed his postofflce box. key. No letters were for-warded, and he was in soinething of a qnandary nntilhe retnrned and fonnd that the box conld not be unlocked, and he had shnt himself and his olerk out by having his keyinailed in his care.
