Miss Jessie West entertained Miss Seeley, of Howell, and Miss Vernier, of Lansing, the first of the week. Mr. aud Mrs. B. St. James are havinj as guests foi the Christmas holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Clutton, of Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Edward Taylor, of. Muskegon, is in the city to be the gnest for the ïjolidays of her sister, Miss M. Cowan. R. E. Roseman, of Detroit was in tóe city last week on business relating to the coustruction of the new Bethlejheni chnrch, of which he is the archiÉect. Miss Abbie A. Pond will spend the Christmas holidays with friends and relafcives in Howell and Detroit. County Coininissinner Wedemeyer visited the Chelsea schools Tuesday.
