"They say" that a terrino millinery war is raging in London just now. It is tho battle of hat -versas toque, and tho ontoome is as yet uuuertaiu. The styles are eqnally charming, and feininine j fancy sides first with oue aud theii with the other. A large pearl gray feit hat is handsomely trimrued with black and white striped ribbon, which appears in huge plaitings about the crown. Black wings and white osprey provide the rest of the trimming, while the brim is faced with black velvet. The qniet taste of this bat is a welconie change froni the gaudy headgear so much in evidence just now. A dainty toque is of cerise miroir velvet. It has a brim of soft black chenille, square in shape and turned up at the corners. A siugle big black plume and a black osprey complete this triinming, while against the hair in the back rests a knot of black satín
