We surely hope this will be a Happy New Year and not one of mouruing for bloods hed in war. "Peace on eartb. and good will toward man." Milo E. Hammond and his grand - mother, U. Hammond, are visiting relatives at Flat Rock. G. Hammond's family and II. M. Abbey and wife were present at the bome of H. 8. Day's Cüristmas. Chicken pie suffered severely as also aiany qfcher viands. Beside the hostess gave each a very acceptable present. Mrs. Charles Hammond is among the sick ones. "Willis Epworth League adjourns next Tuesday evening for an indefinito time. Mr. and Mrs. Swass, of Willis, gave a party for their daughters which was e'njoyed by young folks far and naar. Souie guests as far as Ypsilanti were present. A revival meeting will begin atRawsonville the 6th oi1 7th of January, Rev. R. Emery offlciating. A grand supper was held on Xew Years day at the Rawsonville hall. A night school will begin January 10, at Eatous Mills. Penmanship, book-keeping and several things will be taught, Mr. JJilion, teacher.
