Death Of A Retired Minister

Rev. George Wood, a retired Methodist minister, died Monday morning of oíd age, at bis home in this city, in the Sist j-ear of his age. The deceased was bom in Lincolnshire, Eagland, and carne to Toledo, O., in 1835. In 1840 he removed to Tadmor (now Delta, O.,) returning to Toledo in 1871. In 1894 Mr. Wood acoompanied his daughter, Dr. Vtary Wood-Allen, to this city. and his jorue bas been here since that time. In Toledo ac one time Mr. Wood was assistant pastor of the Br adway Methodist church, but he had been incapacitated by deafness late years and was unable to occnpy a pulpit on account of ihe inflrmity. Since residiug here he bad taken a deep interest in the Methodist Episcopal cbnrch. Funeral services at the home Tuesday afternoon preceded the taking of the remaius to Toledo for burial.
