Successful Break for Liberty.
OHAMA, Jan. 9.—Pat Ford, who was to have been taken to the penitentiary Wednesday to serve a twenty years' sentence, made a dash for liberty while bidding his mother good-bye. He is only 20 years old, but has the reputation of being a desperate crook. He was sent up as a highwayman. Ford's relatives are Catholics and the A.P.A. police officers at once made a thorough search of St. Philomena's cathedral in the face of the priest's protests. Nothing was found.
