Banks Apply For Bonds

Cleveland, Jan. 9.- The National Bank of Commerce of this city has made applioation for $500,0110 of the new government bcnds, and. the Central National bank will lake $100,OJO. Other local b:mks, it is said, will apply for large b!ocks of the bonds. Bankers here say the National banks will take tho whole issue it ihey are ponnitled to issue circulación up to the par valué of bonds with lower taxation.
