St. Josp:ph, Mo., Jan. 16. - A sensational scono occurred ia divisiĆ³n No. 1 of the circuit court Wednesday, when Judge Woodson ordered Mrs. Joy Marie Hooper committed to jail for contempt of court. The commitmcuc was afterwards stayed on a legal point. Mrs. Hooper is well connected and wealthy. Sho was interested in a fuol company which reeen tly 'ailed. Aftor a receiver had been apjointed she eollected abouc $500 of the Irm's money which she rcf used to turn over. She declares she will not produce the money and will likoly go to jail.
