Women's Appeal For Peace
The International Women's League of Peace in Paris has issued an appeal to fierman women to join in their endaavra for the cause. It is as follows : "The women of France to their sisters in ermany - Germán mothers, sisters and ■wives : The character of war in its true ■ature is being daily more fully recogaized. It is murder en masse, which becomes more and more barbarous by the terrible effect of the new weapons. The human spirit at last revolts against the thousand-year-old terrible conception of military glory. Every army fighting another leaves bebind torrents f blood and tears. The women of England have already come to joiu us in an alliance for peace, toward the extensión of which alliance mothers and wives and sisters and fiaricees ought to contribute. Togetherwith England's v?omen we ask the woruen of all nations to join in an international league having for its purpose peace and general disarmainent. May the women of Germany join that league ! Your interests and ours are the same. The more blood strearus between the nations the more those are being separated whora nature has created to be brothers and friends.
