PHILADELFHIA, Jan. 23. - John Frankford, a prisoner at the state penitentiary, one of the most daring and euceessful horsothieves of his time, died in awf ui agony Tuesday. Frankford's death was the result of an attack by bloodhounds. He had charge of thom. at the penitentiary and shortly before Christmas the animáis beganflghtingamongthemselves. He attempted to separate them when they turned upon hitn and savagely attacked him. He was badly bitton, especially on one arm, which was all ohewed up. Blood poisoning set in, resulting in his death.
