Washington, Jan. 30, - The case of Major George A Armes, the retired army officer, whose arrest for insulting a superior officer, was ordered by General Schofleld, and who was released on a senationul ruling of Judge Bradley of the district supreme court, was given a formal hearing by Judge Brady Wednesday. Major Armes counsel agreed to thes oontentions of the prosecution. The court iu disposing of the case said the whole caso oppeared to be a piece of spite work on the part of General Schofiold, and that this beiiüf was justified by the fact that there now appeared no intention to prosecute further. This action leaves Major Armes constructively nnder arrest, but it is probable the matter will not be pushed iurther
