Jacob Zansr and Eddie Nisle spent Snnday with Chelsea friends. Miss Ira Q winner is visiting friends ia Jackson. Henry Landwehr, of Sharon, has moved to town, occupying the Kirchgessner house next to Dr. Kapp's. Mrs. AnnaGieske-Bean, of Hespeler, Ont., is visifcing relativos and friends ín and about Manohester. The young ladies are making great preparations for a leap year party tho 17 inst, at Arbeiter hall. Miss Mary Kirchhofer, preoeptress of the high school, gave a very pretty reoeption to the senior class and high school teachers Wednesday evening. A good time was enjoyed by all. The relati-ves and friends of Mr. Fred Schiable gave him a very pleasant rarprise Tuesday, it being his 57th birthday. Mrs. Ella Perkins Miller andMiss Raitz, of Toledo, O., will give an entertainment at the M. E. ohurch next Wedneeday evening. Miss Nettie Logan, of the junior lass of the high school, entertained the alaes at her home last Wednesday evening. Mr. Carr, who has been conduoting a ■inging sohool for the past montb, losed Tuesday evening with a reoital, whioh was well attended. All who participated did nicely.
