Amhekst, Wis., Fob., 6. - William and John MoCuun, aged 17 and 18 reapeotively, wore arrested at their home, about flve miles south of here, by Detectives Wheelook and Carklek, on a charge of placing a rail across the Wisconsin Central rallway track, about two miles southeast of Amherst on the night of Jan. 81. The prisoners made s written confession that they intended to wrock the train and rob the passengers. The spot ohosen was a dangerous one and a terrible wreek would have occurred had not an extra freight train found the obstruotion.
