There havo been fuuud in Japan some raice that have been the subject of a good deal of zoologicul discussion. These creatures are white and black as a rule, but some have sbadinga of brown aud pale yellow. Wheu the baly rnouse first begins to walk, it exhibitp the tendeucy that characterizes this peculiar breed. After moving a short distance it beging to turn round and rouud, increasing in rapidity uutil it sarina alajost like a top. This walizuig, for it is notlring else, amounts to a ruad dissipation, being kept up for Eorne minutes v ithuut stopping. There will then be a pauso of a few seconds, whcn the dance begius again.
