An Error About Cats

An error about cats, and a truly vnlgar one, is that they lie on young children's breasts and suck their breath or suflocate them. Cats like to lie on the breast of a person they love, and are apt to show their happiness by now and then lifting their heads for a kiss or gently touching the face or neck above them with their paw ; this sort of patting or stroking a beloved oheek or throat is oce of the more human habits which dogs have not.
