The Stylus

The Roman pen, or stylus, waa an iron implement, gharp at one end like an awl and flat at the other like a paper sntter It was nsed for writing on tab1et6 of wood or ivory covered with wax. The sharp end was employed for writing aucl the flat for erasing or correctiug wbat was written.
