Women ruake very good landlords, bnt beware oí thewoman who owns only one house. She regards it as the apple of her eye. She lives uear to keep it under surveillance. Whether she goes out on an erraud or takes her constitutional, her steps lead by her house. At a glauee she eau teil the condition of the shutters, the front door and thearea. Her accustomed eye knows every scratch. and she is prepared to resist to the ut most any proposition to renew the shutters or to paint the front door. She regards her tenant as her natural anemy, and cannot understaud why she may not enter her own property vvhenever she has a raind. But she is cheerfully prompt on rent day ; too prompt, for she does not take delay with grace. When a woruan has a second house, say tbe agents, her character is arueliorated. And as her knowledgeof afi'airs broadeus she does not differ materially from other landlords. -
