The following dispatch appeared in the Detroit Tribuno Tnesday ïnorning from Bay City: Last week Dr. Oarrow, of the nniversity, was an expert witness for the city in a suit for $10,000 brought by Miss Nottingham, who had an eye injnred by the bursting of a street electric light globe. The city won the case. Tonight when the bill of Dr. Carrow for $150 oame np in the common conncil, Aid. Selleck, democrat, objeoted to it. He said Dr. Carrow was working for the state and was not entitled to the amount. He began getting personal when he was called to order by Mayor Wright. He refused to come to order. The mayor then left the chair and called upon the president of the council, MoEwan, to take his place. Mr. McEwan made the erratic aldermau come to order and then the bill was allowed.
