Manchester has a new cigar factory. Miss Hazel Burtis, of .Tackson is the guest of her frieud, Alma Sohmid. Taylor, of Dnlnth, Minn., bas beeu visiting relatives in this village and iu Sharon. Miss Mollie Kurfess was the gnest of Martha Kuhl in Sharon over Sunday. Miss Amanda Grossman, who is workiug in Jaoksou, came home for a yisit wirh hei parents John F. C. Hollina, D. G. M. W., is in town this week aasisting the Manchester Lodge No. 53 to increase their membership and bas met with snooesp. MissesBelvia Waters, Mande Goodell, Matnie PayDe, Messrs Elmer Silkworth and Merlin Yokom went to Aun Arbor Wednesday to attend the teacber's examinafcion held in tbat place Thur=day and Friday. Oonfirmation services will be held at the Etnauuel chnrch Sunday foreuoon. Ten girls and fourteen boys will be confirined. The Alpha Sigma held its laat meeting Monday eveninf, which waslargely atteuded.
