Miss Ida Munore of San Francisco is looked tipon by her neighbors as a kind of heroine because she jjerforined wbat sbe herself considers the very simple feat of painting her motber's honse. Her famüy are in the habit of speaking of her as the "man of the house" and calling npon her to drive nails and fix fences, so when the roof needed painting, and they conld not afford to bire any one to do it, it seemed a very natura.' thing for her to take the task npon Wself. She donned her bicycle bloomers and says she enjoyed the work inimensely.
