Daniel J. Ross was in Detroit Taesday on business. Mrs. T. W. Mingay and daughfcer Nellie, spent Wendesday in Toledo. Ed. M. Roberts, of the Fort Madison Daily Democrat, was in the city Toes day. Fred H. Zoellner has gone to South Haveu, where hd has seonred a position in a large general store. Miss G-race Haven was in Columbas, Ohio, this week to witness the gradnation of a friend from a university there. Miss Lana Bishop, of Grand Rapids, is spending the week with Miss Georgia Bacon, of 45 S. University avenue. Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Strattou.of Howell, were guests of Ann Arbor friends Monday. Miss Stella Root, of Jaokson, spent Snnday with her sister. Miss Caroline Britten, of Jackson, is spending her week's vacation with her parents in this city. Chas. H. Kline was at Harrison, Clare connty, this week, to defend C. Balnss, on the charge of embezzling lumber. Mrs. Gertrude Wade-Slocum, of Chicago, is visitiag her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Wade. .Nathan Keitb, who has been visiting relations here and in Detroit the past few months, bas gone to Dexter for a brief stay when he will go to Jaokson to be the gnest of relatives for some little time. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Beardsley, of Grand Ledge, are gnests of Mr. Beardsley's sister, Mrs. E. A. Keith, of S. Thayer street. Titas Hutzel and Robert G winner returned yesterday from a busiaess trip to Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Case 'and Eon Frank, will soon leave for California for an extended stay. Edward Flagg, Jr., of Pentwater, who has been a gnest of his cousin, Miss Grace Flagg, retnrned home yesterday .
