A. M. E. Church Dedication
The services in connection with the Jedioation of the A. M. E. ohurcb, on Si. Fonrth ave., Sunday, were attended ! ay large oongregations rnorning, afteraoon aud evening, among which were j lelegates from Ypsilanti and Plymouth. A.ble sermons were preached by Bishop Turner, of Atlanta, Ga., and Esv. Mrs. I Gr. T. Thurman, of Jackson. The program as planned was carried out in fnll with the exceptiou of the sermón by Dr. Anderson, of Toledo, O., who was uuable to be present. Rev. C. M. Cobern.of this city and Rev. J. M. Barksdale, of Ypsilanti, also assisted in the dedioation services. On Monday evening a dedioatory concert aud receptiou to the ministers present tonk place, and the church was again filled with ao appreoiative audience. Vocal solos, dnets and quartets, instrumental musió, recitations. etc. made up an exceedingly iuteresting program, wiboh was thoroughly enjoyed. Refreshmeuts were also served. Altosether it was an occasion which will Ioiir be remembered by the rüernbers of the A. M. E. chuiob.
