Paderewski Is Generous

New York, April 23.- Paderewski the pianist, has placed in the hands o William Steinway and Dr. William Mason of this city and Colonel H. L. Hig ginson of Boston, as trustees, $10,000 f o 6ho purpose of establishing the followin triennial prizes for composers of Ainer: oan birth: 1. Five hundred dollars for the bes orchestral work in sympohnic form. 2. Three hundred dollars for the bes composition for solo instrument with or chestra. 3. Two hundred dollars for the bes chamber music work.
