There is no hope of recovery for Fred ïeinhart, of Ypsilanti, the yonng lad who blinded himself by lookiag at the un throngh a convex lens shaped piece of oolored glass. Dr. Carrow,of Ann Ar)or, has made a second examination of lis eyes and gives uo enconragement that ie will ever see again. The Evening Times says: "Two similar cases have jeen noted in the late medical journals. One happend at Orchard Lake, where everal boys tried to see which could ook at the sun the longest and one of hem went nearly blind as a resalí, but s gradually recovering. Another case vas wbere a child was nearly blinded )y the reflection f rom a mirror of the un's rays. In each of these latter ases the paralysis of the uptic nerve was not as complete as that noted in ;he Reinhart case."
