George Stevens, of the Kinderagrten ïbilïiard parlors, is the happy possessor of $7, 500, which he reöeived in a oheok frorn the Penasylvania Railroad Co., while in Chicago last week. Four years ago he was fired from a Penusylvaia traiE at Baltiruore, Md., for trying to rite on a limited train, and presenting a ticket not good on tbat train. He sued the oomp uy for $30,000 damages. Thnrsday of last week the case was to have come to trial, but the corapany, so Mr. Stevens nlaiiiis to bis friendo, offered him $7,500 to settle and uot appear. He accepted, and tbe verdict went by default to tl,e r.vilroad company.
