St. Paul, May 7.- The Republioans ■won a notable victory in the municipal election of Tuosday, making practically a clean sweop of everything in sighc. The Republicana elected thtfir entire city ticket, the assembly being solidly Republioan, and the Demoerats electing only one alderman, making the oommon council stand nineteen Kepublicans to one Democrat. F. B. Doran was elected mayor by 3,525 plurality; J. J. McCardy oomptroller by 5,427 majority and C. L. Horst city treasurer by (515 majority.
