James C. Allen, of Ann Arbor town, lost a valnable young colt on Wednesday through a runaway. On Tuesday morning nis hired men bitohed up the colt, which was jus being broken, and another young horse to a plow. The skittish animáis became frigütened at this proceediug and ran away over a lamber pile ana a feuoe and made for the city. They were captured on Ann 8t. and driven away towarcls home. On the ■vvay there the men thooght it a good sóbeme toag;üu liitoh rhe auimals up and did su, whfn they again run away. This time the results were far worsa for dashing into a (rea that stood in their ooürse, CIih ooit was thrown with its back a r ws ;i hirfjp stone, either breaking its back or iujuriug it so severely tbat it h.;d to be killed.
