Luther Palmer, of Dexter, an old pioneer of this county and proprietor of the Dexter baske.t faciory, died Monday uight of kidney iroable, froru wbioh he had long beeu a suffeier, aged 72 years. Mr. Palmer was bom in Verbont, on the shoresof LakeCliamplain. He cauie to Miobigan in the eitrly thirties and settled iu Dester. Yot a nniuber of years he rau a woolien mili and iu conuectiou with it a sawmill. He had been iu the basset making busiuess abont six yeurs. Ris wife died a wumber of years ago; the members of his family %vho snrvive hiiu are his sou, Lester C. Palmer, who is express agent ai Howell, and an uumarried daughter, Miss Mattie Palmer, vrho kept house for him.
