There are several new buildings going up in Milan this spring ana summer. Mrs. F. Gauntlett is entertaining guests from out of.town. Mell Barnes, of Tecumseh, visited Milan friends Tuesday. Mrs. E. Leonard is in Ann Arbor this week. Miss Edna Springer is seriously ill. Died- Saturday, May 9, Mrs. Levi Ftiller, of First st. , af ter a long illness. Mrs. Wm. Minto is visiting friends in Cornnna. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Murray visited Ann Arbor friends Saturday. E. VanWormer, of Toledo, spent Sunday with relatives in the village. Miss Forsythe spent Sunday with her parents in Lodi. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Eouse and son Harold, of Saline, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse. "Dave Perrin's New Show" will be in Milan tomorrow. Mesdames Lockwood and Hinkley visited Ann Arbor, Tnursday. Otto Bennett, of Ann Arbor, has Deen improving his property on Hurd and County sts. T. Barnes visited Ypsiïanti, Thursday. There were 175delegates and visitors at the Washtenaw Connty Baptist Association nieeting last Wednesday and Thursday. The meeting was interesting :rom opening to close, and the addresses, papers and music fine. The Presbyterian ladies held their tea social at Mrs. T. Barnes', on Ooun;y st., Tuesday evening. It was well attended. Judge Harriman and son Cari, of Ann Arbor, and the pastor, Rev. J. P. 3utchinson, will give a literary enterainrnent at the Presbyterian church, May 18. Miss Julia King, of Chattanooga, Tenn., will visit her mother, Mrs. J. C. Rouse, this summer. The D. of R. will give an entertainment at their parlors, May 22. The elocutionist, Miss Retta Kempton, and a musical program will form an entertainment that it will pay one to attend. E. Palmer has purchased part of the Babcock property on the west side of Tolen st., and is fixing it up in fine order. He will move in in a few days. Vol Dayle has a situation as motorman on the eleotric railway at Toledo.
