A Fine Concert
The Lyra Maennerchor concert, given on Tuesday evening in A. O. U. W. hall, under the direction of R. H. Kempi, was a most pleasant and successfnl affair. The Lyra Singing Society appeared in three songs, all of which were mnch appreciated by the audience. Miss Flora Koch sang a beautiful soprano solo, "For all eternity, " with violin obligato by E. N. Bilbie, and Mr. Pease pleased the audience by his baritone solo, "Only in dreams. " The dnett, "Friendship in canon" by Miss Koch and Mr. Pease was especially pretty and pleasing. Miss M. Ellen Clarken was at her best in a harp solo, Mr. E.-N. Bilbie was loudly applanded at the close of his violin solo, and Mr. Geist's flute solo was excellently rendered. Master Gerald Brown captuied i.he andience with his beautiful solo, "Forever and forever. " Miss P. Farnham sang a soprano solo with beautiful effect. " Mr. J. Eibler gave a humorous recitation, which added muoh to the interest of the excellent prorgam. ♦ After the program some hours were pleasantly passed in sooial enjoyment and dancing. The hall was neatly decorated, and presented a pretty appearance. The Lyra members did evörything possible to make the occasion a pleasant one, both in a musioal and social way.and they certainly succeeded.
