The 23rd semi-annual apportionment of primary school interest money has been oompleted by Superintendent o: Public Instruction Pattengill. It apportions a total of $321,186.26 among the counties of the state, the total namber óf childran of sohool age being 698.231, and the rate per capita 4( cents. The Miohigan Central paid its specific tax for 1895, amounting to $228,000, just a few days too late to have it included in this apportionment, but it will serve to increase the apportionment to be made Nov. 10 next. The amount apportioned to Washtenaw county in $5,673.18. Below is given the number of ohildren in the cities and townships of the county and the anidunt of the apportionment for each : Ann Arbor city, 3047 children. $1,401.62; Ann Arbor town, 241, $110.86; Augusta, 594, $273.24; Bridgewater, 307, $141.22; Dexter, 228, $104.88; Freedom, 450, $207; Lima, 280, $128.80; Lodi, 204, $93.84; Manchester, 654, $300.84; Northfield, 301, $138.46; Pittsfield, 287, $132.02; Salem, 278, $127.88; Saline, 528, $242.88; Scio, 516, $237.36; Sharon, 336, $154.56; Superior, 33 3, $153.18; Sylvan, 710, $326.60; Webster, 189, $86.94; York, 625, $287.50 ; Ypsilanti city, 1650, $759; Ypsilanti town, 289, $132.94. Total apportionment, $5,673.18. The total amotmt of the apportionment for May, 1895, was $7,668.31.
