A large party of Ann Arborites mado nierry at Whitmore Lake on Monday night. Some drove out in the rnorning and spenfc the day in rowing, sailing, fishing and visiting. Others drove out either in the afternoon or even ing, wbile a third section of the party took a special coach on the Ann Arbor road at 4:15 p. m., and went to the lake in shat way. When all had gathered there it was found that there were 57 people in all. An excellent supper was served at 6 o'clook by mine host Smith, of the Clifton House, also a lunch at midnight, both of which received the bearty respeots of the hungry orowd. Shortly after 8 o'clock dancing began ïo mnsic furnished by Allie Long and Mrs. Morton a d was kept up with but slight intermission until 12:30, when borses were harnessed to vehicles, those who oame by train sought their coach, and all departed for home vowing that the Clifton house with its spring floor and attentive host were just the articles necessary to have a good time at Whitmore.
