I {CHICAGO, May 14.- The second day's session of the western Unitarian conference was begun Wednesday morning at All Souls' ch'urch, Langley avenue and Oakwood boulevard. At 9 :30 o'clock Rev. John H. Mneller of Bloomington, Hls., conducted devotional exercises. Thirtyseven ministers were in attendance. The Western Unitarian Sunday School society held its annual meeting and elected oflicers as f ollows : President, A. W. Gould; secretary and treiisurer, Albert Scheible; directors, Rev. W. C. Gannett of Rochester, N. Y. ; C. E. Raymond, Hinsdale; Miss Juniata Stafford, Chicago, and George M. Köndall, Oak Park. The annual reporta of the offlcers of the society were read. The secretary's report showed that during last year the attendance in the Sunday schools had increased 25 per cent., while the church attendance had fallen off 10 per cent. Rev. Edward A. Horton, president of the Unitarian Sunday School society of Boston delivered an address on "Sunday School Work." Rev. Caroline J. Bartlett read a paper on "The Development of Religious Life in the Young." Rev. Benjamin R. Bulkeley addressed the meeting on "Young People's Religious Societies."
