One hunflred and sixty-seven student in the literary department are expected to gradúate in June. The joint debate between the Alpha Nu and Adelphi societies will take place tornorrw night. The University Coinedy Club wil give Sardou's "A Scrap of Paper" at the opera house toinorrow evening. D. F. Baymond, will lecture before the law studeuts of the University on Thursday, May 28, in the interest of the M. W. of A. The Alpha Phi society will celébrate its fourth anniversary tomorrow evening by a banquet at the sorority house, 35 E. Madison st. Dr. George Doek returned from the meeting of the American Association of Physicians at Washington, D. C, last Friday morning. Miss Louise Bacorn, a senior lit student, reoeived a severe ent on her head Saturday eveniDg by falling from her bioycle while coasting. George Wilder, who has been in the hospital for injuries sustained to his knee during the spring vacation, left that institution last Friday and is able to get avound on crutches. The Freshman Card Club has made irrangements for a dance at Granger's aoademy, on Jnne 5. The committee iaving the matter in charge is J. B. Peil, chairman, C. B. Hole, and J. C. Bradfield. Regent Barbour, of Detroit, has offered to add $1,000 to his original gift to the Woman's Building, on condition that the fnud to complete the )uilding be raised by the close of the college year. It is possible that when the University of California athletic team meets ;he U. of M. representatives that the bicycle races will be run off on the fair grounds in this city, (Ypsilanti), there seing no suitable track at Ann Arbor. - Washtenaw Eveniug Times. The '99 Oracle board has elected its editors as follows : G. R. Sims, indeDendent, managing editor; J. B. Peil, Sigma PM, assisting managing editor; C. B. Hole, Phi Kappa Psi, business manager; C. E. Cartwright, independent, assistant business manager, and Miss E. A. Flintermann, Gamma Phi 3eta, secretary of the board. The '99 Oracle will be distinctively au athletic number. Two U. of M. students and two Ann Arbor young ladies took a boat and went on the river at Ypsilanti for pleasnre last Friday. They floated down he river most peacefully as far as Rawonvillé, wheu the boat overturned and hey went through a most realistic eene of drowning and rescue. The luartet remrned to this city on the late motor thatevening very wet butpleased at their escape from auything more erious.
