lts Funds are Exhausted, The treasury of the Woman's Charitable Union is eutirely exhausted. Duriug 28 years the work of fchis oiganization has been carried on. The questiou now arises shall it be giveu up and all care of the poor be tnrued over to the city authorities? The decisión of this question rests, not with the officers of the Union and the rnembers of the ward committees, but with those who, by the payment of the annual fee of $1, or by special contributions, enable the work to be niaintained. The officers desire siruply to acquaint the publio with the facts and await guidance for their future action. MABY W. Ü'OOGE, Secietary.
