Ball Player Loses A Finger

Louisville, Ky., July 15.- Sometime ago Catcher Robinson of tho Baltimore club, had the little flnger of his right hand injured in a game and has been troubled with this member ever since the accident occurred. Two days ago inflainmation set in and it became evident that unless the inflammed part was aniputated blood poisoning would result. The operation was performed Tuesday at Norton infirinary by Dr. Stucky. While Clarke may not be able to play for sevèral weeks, the loss of a part of the flnger wiü not render his services in the gamo in the fu ture less effective.
