Chicago, July 22.- Fire destroyed 125,000 vrorth of matches and daniagcd the four-story building at 54 aud 56 Michigan avenue to the estent of $5,000 early Tuesday morning. While the property loss is eomparatively srnall the combustible nature of the contents of the building gave the firemen one of the hottest blazes in the history of the department with which to contend.
