Why did he waste time in getting Detroit bids, or permit them to waste time in malíiijg bids, if he did not intend to let theiM have it? ïhere is very little coartesy to ask a mau to bid ou a job and theu uot let hini have it, wheu he wins it fry fair competiüon. Mr. Mills was doiug some pretty small work. - Adrián Press. In view of the fact that the Press knows uotbiug whatever of the facts of the case, its critioisru of Mr. Mills is decidedly ungenerous. The bids for the priotiug froin outside parties were entirely voluntary and Mr. Mills says they were unsolicited by hirn.
