Mr. aud Mrs. Fred Steinkohl aud son Willie, are iu Lansing visiting his parents. Miss Louisa Alknendinger, of Ann Arbor, is the gnest of Miss Minnie Schaffer. The annual raission festival of the Emanuel's church will be heíd Sunday, Ang. 16. During the heavy shower last Monday the house of Geo. Nisle, jr., was struok by the lightning. Will Nisle aud wife have moved to Tecumseh, he üaving accepted a position as painter for John Hailey, of that place. The Misses Lydia Enderis, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Lizzie Kirchhofer, of Chicago. 111., are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kirnhhofer and family. Miss Isabella Milieu, of Wolf Lake, visited friends a few days last week and sang at the entertainment given m the M. E. church last Sunday evening, by Prof. Beal. Prof. Thos. Moran went to Elk River, Minu., last Monday, returning on Friday acoompanied by his bride. All his friends join in extending hearty congratulations. Barrott A. Robinsou, from New York City, is visiting with his parents the past W3ek. He has accepted a position as clerk in Boston aud will go there in September.
