St. Paul, Aug. 12.- Charles Clark of Havana, Hls., Monday shot and killei an unknovvn man in a saloon at St. Peter, Minn. The two had reached the town together and were looking for work in the harvest fields. They quarreled over cards and Clark was struok in the face by his cornpanion, a much smaller man. Clark went to a hardware store, bought a revolver, returned, and shot the other six times. When arrested he was found to be partially intoxicated. Clark had clairaed to be a very bad man. who would as soon snoot a man as eat. He is well supplied with money.
