A French chemist has recently discovered that the eggs of a certain species of fish are euveloped iu veritable silken cooooiis. Since the learned Freuchman begau his experimeuts iu this line (in 1894) he has found seveu different species of fish that produce eggs from whioh a fine quality of silk may be â– woven.
